Catena Media's flagship football publishing website, Squawka, has been crowned 'Premium Publisher' at the Football Blogging Awards.
The website's bespoke content offering was recognised ahead of competition including Bleacher Report, Copa90, JOE, Goal and Sport Bible.
The awards ceremony took place at the Etihad Stadium – just hours before Manchester City were confirmed as the 2018/19 Premier League champions – with a total of 25 awards handed out to a variety of industry-leading content creators.
The majority of accolades were settled via a public fans' vote but the winner of the 'Premium Publisher' category was selected by a panel of industry judges.
Squawka Editor, Will Hall, said of the achievement: "We're delighted to have won this award . It's a testament to the entire team's hard work over the course of what has been a thrilling season."
Squawka, which was recently awarded a 'Creator On The Rise' badge by Youtube, boasts a huge social following and – as part of the Catena Media network – has carved out a highly sought after niche within the intensely competitive football market.
