In a London ceremony at The Artillery Garden attended by a crowd of 700, including industry leaders and Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel, Catena Media was recognised for its "excellent performance" by the Sports Betting Community.
Catena fended off competition from eight fellow nominees to collect the Affiliate of the Year award, which was determined by votes held at the Betting on Football and Betting on Sports events for 2018.
UK General Manager Richard Gale was at the awards ceremony to collect the trophy, and said of the win, ""Catena Media has always focussed on delivering the finest products for consumers and on building outstanding relationships with operators. Over the course of the year we have developed these relationships to ensure we're working with operators in a more integrated way, delivering them higher value for every player we send. This is great recognition of the work that every division of Catena Media has put in over the year, but is nothing compared to what we have planned for 2019."
"This year the quality and quantity of entries increased dramatically, so all the winners had to work exceptionally hard to stand out from their competition," said Andrew McCarron, managing director of SBC.
Elsewhere, Squawka, Catena's global football brand, narrowly missed out on picking up the Marketing Campaign of the Year award, a category in which their work during the World Cup with betting exchange Smarkets was 'highly commended'.
