The Site Availability Engineer at Catena Media will be ensuring that all our systems are running at optimum performance and constantly striving to maintain the high availability and resilience standards that the SAE team adheres to. In addition, the person will be liaising with all applicable service providers and third parties concerned.


  • As a Site Availability Engineer your main focus will be on the administration, monitoring and reporting on all our internal and external platforms, systems and infrastructure.

  • Proactive Monitoring of our platforms, systems and infrastructure
  • Investigate and react to any issues that might arise and serve as a contact point for internal teams, ensuring issue resolution, and providing communication back to stakeholders
  • Continuously strive to improve Site Availability applications, tools and processes
  • Prepare and take part in frequent releases of systems
  • Provide quality support following standard operating procedures and directly help to tweak such procedures
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate appropriately for permanent resolution

  • 3 years of working Linux experience
  • Solid experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana and Prometheus
  • Solid experience on containerization on Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid experience on scripting technologies such as Bash, Ansible or Python
  • Solid experience on Nginx web server
  • Solid experience on Git
  • Solid experience on CI/CD/CD pipelines such Jenkins or Puppet
  • Previous experience with cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS
  • Previous experience to ELK stack
  • Previous experience on Redis and CEPH storage
  • Previous experience on Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform
  • Previous experience with CMS such as WordPress would be considered an asset
  • Good knowledge of databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
  • Be a good team player, able to prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of microservices would be an asset
  • Must be willing and able to work non-standard work shifts, including evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends
