Working within small friendly team based in the UK, the UX/UI Designer role will consist of supporting the day-to-day activities of the UK business. The role will also be working closely with the parent company, Catena operations that is based in Malta.


  • As a UX/UI Designer in Catena Media's team you will be responsible for translating our company strategy into product features. We're looking for a person who's motivated to continuously improve the user experience and add value for the end user. Every one of our projects is a team effort and you’ll need to work well with directors, product owners, other designers and developers along the way.

  • Craft high-fidelity interaction designs and efficient user flow wireframes;
  • Provide detailed design specs to our product dev team;
  • Design rapidly and iteratively on initial UX concepts, wireframes, and user flows, informed by user research, trends, and your best ideas;
  • Create detailed design specifications that can be handed-off to developers for implementation;
  • Revise and update designs and documentation based on user testing and customer feedback;
  • Work with engineers and QA to ensure the successful implementation of a design.

  • Comfortable owning a project, helping scope it and driving it to shipping stage.
  • You think in terms of responsive, scalable systems, not one-off solutions.
  • Someone who wants to sweat over details like easing functions, data visualisation and the delightful details that make a product special.
  • Skilled at using modern design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Framer, Invision etc
  • Visual and interaction design skills, but you’re also comfortable talking about systems and strategies.
  • 2-3 years’ experience designing interfaces for web and mobile devices.
  • Experience creating and managing a design system would be an asset
