  • The Head of SEO (Sports) takes ownership of the execution of the overall SEO strategy for the Catena Media Sports brands. You will ensure that all sites show sustained growth in Organic traffic for the identified keywords and rankings on Google and help build an exceptional SEO team across all our offices. The focus is identifying the correct traffic, from the correct territories and ensuring that our SEO is commercially focused and shows rapid global growth. The role manages staff in our London, Rome and Malta offices, with remote staff for specific projects. 

  • Create, implement and manage the SEO strategy for Catena Sports’ sites to increase organic traffic and build on the rankings for every property for identified keywords
  • Manage the allocated SEO & Content budget for Catena Sports portfolio.
  • Manage the SEO team’s, On-Site SEO Specialist and Content Writer day-to-day activities
  • Set the targets for each site and monitor and report on rankings and traffic to the Director of Growth on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Manage day to day activities for the sites and create reports with the support of the team on the following Keyword Research, on-page optimisation advice, technical audits, competitor analysis, reporting and link management activities 
  • Work with external PR agency and link building agencies to coordinate all press releases and link building for Catena Sports sites
  • Proactively analyze and identify organic search opportunities and recommend changes to the overall portfolio as apt to the Director of Growth to drive Organic revenues and improve conversion and new growth opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with in-house and remote product, content and development teams to prioritise and develop SEO improvements for all Catena Sports sites (e.g., technical SEO, site architecture optimization, on-page and off-page optimization). 
  • Set up goals for, delegate tasks, and support team members in their daily work.  
  • As the team grow, participate in the recruitment and on-boarding of new team members. 
  • Keep pace with SEO, social media and industry trends
  • Other SEO related tasks as required.

  • Excellent SEO experience in the affiliate/comparison industry, (iGaming experience desirable
  • Strong experience of Leadership of an SEO team, (international experience desirable)
  • Very strong analytical skills and the communication skills to be able to share these with key stakeholders
  • A Leader, not a manager, who will inspire, develop and coach the team to exceed their potential
  • Experience optimizing websites and landing pages with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Experience of setting benchmarks for portfolios of sites and creating dashboards to track progress
  • Solid knowledge and work experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and other industry standard SEO tools. 
  • Excellent project planning and management skills.
