SCOPE OF THE JOB:

The content developer and trainer works to train and on-board new and existing writers. The position will also help with recruitment and evaluation of staff. Finally, the position helps fill in gaps in coverage at site runner level.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • The content development and trainer fulfills three key duties:
  • Site runner support: Fills in for site runners when they are on vacation or sick, helping keep content flow to a minimum level during their absence. Supports site runners with logistical help when they have a heavy load of news or evergreen content, or other tasks that take away from their ability to take care of their regular workload.
  • Content evaluation and QC Reviews all news content for quality of writing, headline, photos, internal and external linking, SEO, etc. Will provide feedback to HOC and relevant site runners/writers. Works in concert with site runners to audit and QC pages and other site resources for accuracy, needed updates, revenue concerns, etc.
  • Writer/staff training: Executes on-boarding and training of writers, both on staff and freelance. Works to deploy regular training for staff at direction of HOC on an as needed basis. Assists with auditing/grading all content published on the network on quantitative and qualitative benchmarks to provide feedback. Works on initial recruitment of new site runners and writers as hiring needs develop, both full-time and freelance.

  • TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a communications field.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry, particularly online gaming, is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two to four years of writing and editing experience.
  • The job is a remote position. Travel is only required for periodic company meetings and gatherings.
