  • We are looking for a talented and ambitious Racing Editor to join a growing team in London.  As the Racing Editor you will be responsible for the content agenda across all Catena’s horse racing properties and you will be required to ensure that the output, both written, audio and video, is of the highest quality.
  • You will be managing a team of freelancers of all ages and you will play a vital role in the growth of Catena’s racing brands.
  • As Racing Editor, you will be required to work in the London office alongside marketing, commercial and content teams. Working hours are to fit around the key racing fixtures and key times – particularly ahead of major meetings including the Cheltenham Festival, Grand National and Royal Ascot. The job requires flexibility, not just more hours.

  • Writing and publishing content for a number of horse racing sites, including RacingTips.com and GG.co.uk 
  • Working closely with the Publisher and Director of Content to develop a content plan, both short and long-term
  • Produce and feature in regular videos, podcasts for the racing social channels
  • Think outside of the box and come up with exciting ways to grow the racing brands
  • Manage the racing social media platforms in conjunction with the social media team

  • Significant horse racing and betting knowledge is essential
  • The ability to produce high quality multi-format content, backed up with a strong portfolio of work
  • Extremely organised, punctual and able to manage a large number of freelancers
  • Vast amount of experience in a similar role – writing, editing and distributing unique content
  • Passionate about growing the racing brands
  • Ability to write commercially focused content, with a good understanding of the SEO value of content
