We are currently looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. The job is going to give you a great opportunity to build upon your existing experience in administering and moderating the content on a developing company intranet, moderate our internal communications channels and build outstanding relationships at Catena!

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  • The Internal Communications Specialist will report to the Communications Manager and will be responsible for administering the company intranet, coordinating the creation of content for our intranet ‘news’ section (& writing some too!) and creating internal communications campaigns, while also being a key member of the Communications Team - contributing ideas and getting stuck into a wide variety of ad hoc projects. 
  • YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • In coordination with the Communications Manager and other stakeholders, send out key internal communications
  • Create and take ownership over an intranet content plan and contribute to an overall Communications strategy. Self-manage tasks in Asana
  • Administer the company intranet by managing users and permissions, creating new sites, moderating content and advising users on proper use
  • Regularly check intranet analytics and provide reports to the Communications Manager as well as analyse data and provide recommendation for how to use that data to increase readership and engagement
  • Provide training on intranet use as and when required
  • Keep the intranet main dashboard up to date and refresh it with suitable new content on a daily basis
  • When needed, be the go-to person for internal communication support- comfortable advising individuals at all levels on internal communication best practice, contributing creative ideas and building internal communication plans
  • Assist the Communications Manager in setting up all company meetings
  • Work with the brand designer to share company news internally in a visually appealing manner
  • Use your own initiative to come up with new and innovative ideas for internal communication campaigns
  • Other ad hoc support as and when necessary - from helping to set up internal events to contributing ideas for CSR initiatives
  • TO DO THIS, YOU WILL NEED:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media studies or a related field
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems, proficiency in video editing and familiarity with Asana would be considered an advantage
  • Previous, evidenced experience of managing (and growing) a company intranet
  • Solid editing and researching skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
  • Organisational skills and a strategic mindset
