As part of our continued growth and expansion we are looking for an innovative and driven individual to take
our Business Control function to a new level. You will play a core role in molding as well as transforming the
function.
SCOPE OF THE JOB:
As our Head of Business Control, you will manage and continually develop our business control team, while working closely to management including supporting our Operational team. The business control function supports management with reports of financial performance, forecasts and other analysis. Understanding our business and working closely with management are keys to success in the role.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
Responsible on a strategic and operational level to build and evolve the business control function for the Catena Media Group
Leading, coaching and supporting business controllers in the Group In terms of size and skills
Responsible for implementing, evolving and being the system owner of the BI software
Advising Managers in gaining information regarding financial figures
Producing regular revenue and cost variance reports and advising management of any forecast cost overruns as soon as possible to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner
Work with all relevant department and project personnel to ensure that cost control procedures are in place and to enable granular reporting
Preparation of budgets and forecasts together with Head of finance and CFO
Reviewing cost commitment and expenditure information for all cost elements against pre-approved budgets
Highlighting cost areas of concern and suggesting areas of improvement
Liaising with the finance department with regards how to evolve and strengthening the reporting of Catena Media
Understand the corporate, department(s) and project(s) specific cost procedures
Study and understand all relevant project documents relating to cost management
TO DO THIS, YOU WILL NEED:
3+ year’s experience in leading the business controlling function, preferably in a listed company
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Masters degree in relevant field (e.g. Business, Finance)
Proactive, result oriented in your approach and independent way of working
Strong analytical and strategic mindset
Ability to influence and persuade
Excellent time management and organisational ability
Excellent knowledge in Excel
Experienced working with Business intelligence software
